How Sustainability Became a Luxury Value

Both, the most important luxury brands (Chanel, Ralph Lauren, Prada and others) and fast fashion producers like H&M Group and Zara announced that signing the Fashion Pact that is a non-legally binding agreement to fight greenhouse gasses and give a sustainability a more important role in the fashion industry.
As Kering chief executive François-Henri Pinau, who is organising the Pact, emailed the New York Times, they have acknowledged the 21st century’s environmental issues, and they are taking their responsibility through collective action and common objectives. The most important players of the fashion industry announced the pact at the Group of 7 summit in Biarritz, France.
